Temazcal / Inipi Sweat Lodge | 12:45-4:00 PM | Sweat Lodge | Tokani
A traditional steam ceremony for cleansing, purification, and healing of the mind, body, emotions, and spirit. This ceremony honors ancestral teachings and elders through Dakota and Mexika traditions. All ages are welcome. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Those with heart conditions, diabetes, taking medications, or recovering from illness must speak with the lodge leader beforehand. Anyone with an active contagious illness cannot participate in the group lodge. Limited to 15 participants. Sign up in advance in the small pavilion (cafe). To get to the sweat lodge, go to the lakeside, cross the bridge, and go left. Bring: a towel, liquids for after the sweat, and flowers or tobacco as an offering. Women should wear a long skirt/covering to the knees and chest-covering top. Men should wear shorts. Please no makeup, perfume, oils, cologne, hats, or sunglasses.

A talk/discussion about the Nature of Consciousness, our collective human birthright of Sovereignty, what it takes to claim this (sitting on our own throne), pathways of initiation and rites of passage that can help facilitate it, and what it might look and feel like to be a fully embodied human. I discuss many similarities among many of the world’s wisdom traditions, providing cross-cultural references to the same concepts of our divinity and ultimately attempt to offer a more grounded, tangible way of relating to the Atma/Soul/Higher Consciousness. Discussion will span topics including: psychology, philosophy, religion, mythology, cosmology, rites of passage, ancient wisdom traditions, master plant medicines, the role of mentors/wisdom keepers, etc.
